Summary
The large Neoclassical house in upper Bobovišća bears witness to the economic strength of the Gligo family. Often called the Cerinić–Gligo house, it should be distinguished from the fortified complex in the harbour.
The family name connects the palace with the harbour, but the two houses have different locations and building histories.

A Neoclassical residence
The palace is a prominent house on the west side of the village. Its regular arrangement of openings, prominent stone details and high roof distinguish it from more modest rural homes. Its construction and decoration are associated with the rise of the Gligo family in the 18th and 19th centuries.
Name and inheritance
The name Cerinić–Gligo has become established in descriptions of the protected cultural property. Duško Čikara cautions that a later marriage connection and changes in ownership should not replace the identity of the earlier builders. Kaštel Gligo by the sea is a separate family complex associated with harbour activity and defence.
Setting and access
The house can be viewed from the village. Interiors and courtyards are not automatically open to the public. The OSM outline is for orientation; the possibility of entering should be checked with the owner or local tourist board.
