Terms of use
Last updated: 2 November 2026.
Explore Brač is intended for information and exploration. Data, descriptions and locations may contain errors or be out of date. Do not use them as the sole basis for deciding whether to visit a site.
1. About the project and its operator
Explore Brač is an open map of places and local producers on Brač, with photographs and sources. The project is run by the Moj Brač platform, operated by MG Servisi, Brdo 6, 21410 Škrip, Croatia.
2. Purpose, sources and reliability of content
The map shows sites and physical structures on Brač, as well as local producers. Entries may include descriptions, photographs, locations and source links.
Descriptions and informational texts are based on publicly available online data, including websites, specialist literature, registers and other published materials. Where available, we provide links to the sources used alongside entries.
Even so, data may have been inaccurately reproduced or interpreted, or may be incomplete, outdated or taken out of context. A source link does not, by itself, mean that information has been independently verified. The map’s content is informational; it is not an official register, an expert report or a substitute for advice from the relevant institution or a specialist.
3. Accuracy of data and locations
Names, historical descriptions, dates, photographs, coordinates and other data serve as informational guidance. Errors, omissions and changes are possible, and some locations are approximate. For sensitive or hard-to-reach places, precise locations may be intentionally omitted or shifted.
The map is not obliged to verify every listed site and every piece of information in advance. If a user informs us of a possible inaccuracy, we will review it promptly and correct it where the accurate information can be reliably established.
If you plan to visit, independently check the location, access, current conditions and any restrictions with reliable sources, relevant institutions or local services. Links to navigation apps and GPS coordinates do not confirm that access is permitted, safe or currently possible. Respect signs, private property, protected areas and instructions from the competent authorities.
4. Responsibility and limitations
The map is provided for informational purposes, without any guarantee that its content is accurate, complete, current or suitable for a particular decision. Users assess the information independently and decide whether to visit a site and how to access it.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Moj Brač platform accepts no liability for damage or injury arising from reliance on the map’s information or locations, a decision to visit, access to a site or conditions at the location. These terms do not remove users’ statutory rights.
5. External links and mapping services
The map may link to Google Maps, other navigation services, registers, institutions and external websites. These services are not managed by the map; their availability, content, accuracy and terms of use depend on their providers. A link to an external service is not a guarantee or endorsement of its content.
6. Suggestions, reports and photographs
Users can suggest content or report a possible error. Suggestions are not automatically published or confirmed. Photographs are published only after their source and usage rights have been checked.
Sources and licences are stated alongside individual photographs where known. Authors’ rights and licence terms remain in force; do not download or reuse other people’s photographs without the appropriate rights.
To sync your favourite places, you can sign in by email with a one-time code; no password or conventional registration is needed. If you sign in, your email address and the IDs of your favourite places are stored in the Atlas’s D1 database. Your address is used for signing in and sending the code, and is not displayed publicly.
Usage statistics and privacy
With your consent, we use our own statistics to understand how the map, search, articles and connected places are used, and to resolve problems. Accepting statistics is not a condition of using the Atlas. You can change or withdraw your consent using the statistics settings button in the footer. Withdrawal stops future collection.
If you accept statistics, a random browser identifier and visit information are stored in your browser. A visit ends after 30 minutes of inactivity. The browser identifier lasts for no more than 13 months, and your consent choice is remembered for six months. We record page views, controls used, connected entries, broad device type, referral source, active time and selected technical outcomes. For searches, we may retain a processed search term; recognised contact details and suspicious values are automatically removed.
Linking activity to a signed-in account is a separate, optional choice. Only if you allow it can the authorised dashboard owner link recorded activity to your account and email address. Access to this detailed view is logged. Signing in to the Atlas does not itself enable this option.
We retain detailed events and account activity for no more than 90 days, minimal visit data for recognising return visits for no more than 395 days (about 13 months), and aggregate reports without user identifiers for no more than 760 days (about 25 months). Processed internal search terms are retained for no more than 30 days. Editorial settings may shorten these periods.
We do not store IP addresses, users’ precise GPS locations, sign-in codes, private notes or submitted form content in the analytics database. We use Cloudflare infrastructure for analytics. Editorial users and excluded browsers are exempt from statistics. Google Search Console may provide separate aggregate data on the Atlas’s visibility in Google; this data is not linked to individual accounts.
The data controller is MG Servisi, Brdo 6, 21410 Škrip. For access to your personal data, its correction or deletion, and questions about consent, contact [email protected]. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency.
7. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the map available, but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may change, correct, expand or remove content and features. Updated terms will be published on this page with a new revision date.
8. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia.
