Summary
Rasotica is a deep cove on the eastern part of Brač, near Sumartin and Novo Selo. Above it lies the historic hamlet of the same name, which should be distinguished from the coastal site itself.

The cove and its hinterland
The cove is one of a series of coastal places in eastern Brač connected with fishing, agriculture and access to the sea. Municipal documents identify it among the coast’s natural features, while a separate conservation study describes the rural settlement of Rasotica above the cove.
The hamlet of Rasotica
The conservation report says the hamlet was founded by people from Sumartin. Stone residential and farm complexes preserve traces of life between the fields and the coast. Their history is distinct from that of today’s bathing area or anchorage. The pin for this entry marks the cove, not the houses inland.
Access and visiting
Reaching the cove and visiting the hamlet are two different options. Before taking the land route, check that it is passable; when visiting the houses, respect private property and the condition of old buildings. If arriving by sea, use current nautical charts and take sea conditions into account.
