The period in Sumartin

From 1745, he lived in the Franciscan monastery in Sumartin and served as guardian from 1747 to 1749. An edition of his chronicle records the construction of a larger monastery and his own physical work on its renovation. He returned to Zaostrog in 1750. His period on Brač therefore involved concrete administrative and building work.
