Starting point for the Rendić walk
A cultural walking tour of Supetar begins beside Rendić’s bust at the end of the waterfront. From there, it leads towards the sculptor’s street and house, Vrdolac Park and other sites that preserve the memory of his life.
Ivan Rendić lived from 1849 to 1932 and is one of the important figures in Croatian sculpture at the turn from the 19th to the 20th century. The memory of him in Supetar is connected with his time in the town and with works that can be seen there.
A portrait in a public park
The bust is a separate public monument to the sculptor. The Ivan Rendić Gallery and his funerary monuments are elsewhere, connected by a walking tour of the town.
Its waterfront location makes the bust a useful starting point for the walk. As you continue, you can distinguish the places where the sculptor lived from the public memorial and his own works of art.
Access and visiting
View the bust in the park’s public outdoor space. Plan a separate visit to the gallery or cemetery, and check opening hours and access arrangements for those places.
