The parish and feast in Pučišća
The parish Church of St Jerome is the centre of his local dedication in Pučišća. His feast on 30 September is also Municipality Day, bringing liturgical celebration into the public life of the town. Jerome’s name does not explain the origin of the name Pučišća, but it has become a lasting part of the community’s identity.

Stone, cave and book
In religious art, he appears as a scholar or penitent, often with a book, lion or stone. A relief of Jerome in a cave is preserved in the parish Church of St Anthony in Pražnica. Such motifs connect the island’s stone-carving workshops with the wider visual language of Christianity.
